Seasons

Three villas in one year

Monsoon June to September

The ridge disappears into cloud, the lawn turns a colour you forget exists in the city, and the covered terrace earns its keep. The pool is at its best in the rain.

Winter November to February

Clear mornings, cool evenings on the lawn, the hills sharp at sunset. The season for long weekends and large family groups.

Summer water, Aamantara Villa, Karjat

Summer March to May

A 40 × 20 ft pool, 800 sq ft of water for the adults, a hundred trees of shade, and air-conditioned rooms to retreat to after lunch. Mango season on the property.

The kitchen

Pure vegetarian, always.

No non-vegetarian food has ever been cooked on this property, and none is brought in. Our professional cook lives here and works from a separate kitchen away from the villa, so the house stays quiet and nobody is in your way. Breakfast, lunch, hi-tea and dinner are all included in your stay, served at the dining area in the middle of the trees. Everything is cooked fresh for each meal; nothing is stored and reused. Tell him what everyone eats the night before, and that is the last time you think about it.

Imagine getting a cup of tea in the morning here, and the breakfast topped with the papaya from the trees. Everything is natural, the food is great. This is the place to visit.

In their own words

Our guests leave video reviews on Instagram. Three of them, with every word they said. The first has been watched more than 42,000 times.

In my 20 years of travel in Karjat, I have seen many, many resorts here. Probably I would have visited 90% of them. This is one I had not visited earlier. Amazed by the number of trees that I see here, very close to nature. And imagine getting a cup of tea in the morning... I'm addicted to the cup of tea that you have in the morning here. And the breakfast, topped with the papaya from the trees here. So everything is natural, the food is great. This is the place to visit.
